I Will Slow Down....

Brandon learned a big lesson the other day. He read a book (The Coaster), finished a book report project and got an A, but then when he was tested on the book he got an F. He couldn't explain why he received an F but we knew it was because he rushed through the test and didn't take the time to read the questions carefully. He started to talk back and we told him he would have to write 100 times "I will slow down and take my time when I read". Needless to say he kept talking back and saying he wasn't going to write those sentences. Every time he talked back we added another 5 lines, he told us to keep going, so by the time he was done we reached 250 sentences. He wasn't allowed to do anything until his sentences were done. Well..after 2+ hours he was finished and he said he learned his lesson. He had over 10 pages!
